2. Website Account Registration
Your account registration gives you login access to features provided by websites under the Clyde.Scot domain; including the Clyde.Scot website and the Turning the Tide On the Clyde website.
To register an account, you must agree to these terms and provide your name and email address.
3. Legal Notice
Any disputes regarding the content of this website shall be governed by the laws of Scotland.
Unauthorised use of this website may give rise to a claim for damages and/or be a criminal offence.
By creating a user account under the Clyde.Scot domain (including the Clyde.Scot and Turning the Tide On the Clyde websites) you agree to be contractually bound by these terms. In the event that you breach any of these terms we may restrict or terminate your account without notice and without refund of any fees paid.
4. Data Storage and Processing / Data Protection
Personal Data
We only collect names and email addresses for administration of user accounts.
Activity Logging
We may log certain user account activity in our database for security and protection against account hacking and for audit trail purposes.
These include, dates and times of; logging-in; password changes; account lock and unlock (if you lose and reset your password); adding and
editing of events, attractions, features and directory listings; email address changes; account upgrades/downgrades. You can view this log
in the account activity section of your user account. This data is not shared with any third parties and we do not log location identifying
data such as IP addresses.
Passwords
Passwords are stored in an encrypted format and cannot be retrieved from our database. If you have lost your password you will need to reset
it using a one-time code sent to you via email. This is done automatically using a random number generator. Your account will be temporarily
locked until you have completed the password reset. You can only do this via the password reset page and this cannot be done by an
administrator on your behalf.
You may not share your password with any third-party. Password sharing is a violation of these terms and may lead to termination of your account. You may however share login details (including password) with other members of your team (for example if you are adding site content on behalf of your organisation or collaborating on management of an event).
Email Communication
We will only contact you via your registered email address in relation to your user account. If you wish to be notified of any other updates,
products or services provided by us and others, you may subscribe to our opt-in mailing list.
Cookies
Currently this website only uses essential temporary cookies to store information relevant to user accounts while users are logged-in. These
are cleared when you log-out or are logged-out due to inactivity (20 minutes). We do not use site cookies to track non-user-account site
visits or activity or for targeting of advertising. We will update these terms if this changes in the future.

Clyde Docks Preservation Initiative, CDPI, Clyde.Scot and Turning the Tide On the Clyde are trading names and trademarks of The Clyde Docks Preservation Initiative Limited. The CDPI logo, Clyde.Scot logo and Turning the Tide On the Clyde logo are copyright protected and may not be used in material published for commercial purposes by any third-party without prior written consent.
The content of this website is copyright protected by multiple entities and may not be copied or reproduced in any format without the express consent of a Director of the Clyde Docks Preservation Initiative Limited or the relevant copyright proprietor.
This website includings all attractions, event listings and feature article pages on this website are the intellectual property of the Clyde Docks Preservation Initiative, with the exception of the text of event descriptions and features/articles which are the copyright of their respective authors.

6. Account Approval and Termination
Registration of your user account is at the discretion of the Website Administrator. We reserve the right to decline any account registration or to terminate your account at any time and for any reason or no reason. You may close your account at any time by submitting a request via email to the website administrator. We will deactivate your account once the request has been received and subsequently remove your details from our database after 30 days. This is to allow your account to be reactivated if you change your mind within the 30-day period. If we have terminated your account due to your having breached these terms, your email address will be retained in our database to prevent it being used to create another user account.
7. User Generated Content
Users must be approved by the Website Administrator prior to adding content to the website.
You agree to only add content including text and images that you own copyright in (including links to images hosted on third-party servers), you have the permission of the copyright owner, or they are in the public domain. Creative Commons images should be credited as appropriate. If you add or link to any offensive, discriminatory or indecent material, adult content or spam, we may terminate your account and block your email address. If you add or link to any illegal content, we may terminate your account and provide your details to law enforcement.
7a. Website Listings
Attractions
We allow users to add attractions, places of interest, etc to our website listings. We will only accept listings of locations in local authority areas that border on the tidal River and Firth of Clyde. Attractions are listed once edited and approved by the website administrator and we encourage site users to be as thorough as possible in completing details of the location.
We reserve the right to refuse attraction listings for any reason or for no reason.
Events
Event listings should be socially and culturally inclusive and encourage diversity. We will not accept listings for religious activities, political events or events that only relate to any specific professional football clubs. We will not accept listings from clubs or associations with membership policies that discriminate on the basis of gender (e.g. men-only clubs and associations). If you add events that promote any form of hate speech (or are associated with any entity that does) they will not be approved for listing and we may terminate your account (and where appropriate, provide your details to law enforcement).
Events taking place throughout the local authority areas bordering on the tidal River and Firth of Clyde at any time may be added.
We may also add events taking place that have already been advertised or details have been published. If you are the organiser of such an event and would like the details to be removed from the website, please contact us.
In general events should be suitable for audiences of all ages. However, we do allow listing of events that serve alcohol (such as beer festivals, whisky tasting, etc) and are only open to adults. Age restrictions must be specified in the event listing and we reserve the right to seek evidence of your licence to serve alcohol prior to approving an event listing.
We will not allow events that promote any of the following: Investment in fossil fuels, sale of tobacco products, weapons manufacture (other than defence shipbuilding), political issues. While we do allow events that promote awareness of environmental issues such as climate change, these should be education and research based (i.e. not protest marches, demonstrations or other direct action advocacy that has the potential to be disruptive).
We reserve the right to require evidence of risk assessment and public liability insurance (and where appropriate, stewarding) for events. We do this help ensure that our website users can be confident that listed events are manged professionally with due attention to health and safety. If your event requires planning consent, we may require this to have been granted before approving an event listing.
We reserve the right to refuse event listings for any reason or for no reason.
Features
Users may submit features/articles for listing on the website that are relevant to culture, recreation, tourism, communities and related topics in the tidal River and Firth of Clyde region. You must be (or be submitting on behalf of) the copyright owner of any articles you submit. Images accompanying features must also have permission from the copyright owner. We may terminate any user accounts that we find to be in breach of copyright. We reserve the right to refuse feature submissions for any reason or for no reason.
Directory Listings
Businesses and organisations in relevant sectors may add listings to our website directory. You may only add listings on behalf of the organisation that you represent. We reserve the right to refuse directory listings to any organisation for any reason or for no reason.

The content of this website is for general information and use only. It may be subject to change without notice.
Users of this website and information presented on this website do so entirely at their own risk. While we have made every effort to ensure that the information presented on this website is complete and accurate, we offer no guarantees or warranties to that effect.

By purchasing tickets for one of our guided tours you agree to the following terms and conditions:
Ticket Sales
Tickets are sold subject to advertised terms and conditions and you must be at least 18 years of age to purchase. We reserve the right to refuse ticket sales to any individual without specifying reasons for refusal.
Your ticket admits you to participate in a single guided walking tour on the date and route specified. One person under the age of 16 may accompany each adult free of charge.
Age Restrictions
Unless otherwise specified, walks are suitable for persons of all ages, though please bear in mind the length of the walks and consider the suitability for younger children. Participants under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult at all times without exception. You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase tickets.
Cancellations and Refunds
You may cancel your booking and claim a full refund no later than 48 hours prior to the start of the tour. If we cancel the tour on the day (for example due to severe weather) you will be notified no later than 10am on the day. You will be offered a full refund or an alternative date for your tour. We regret we cannot refund tickets if you fail to arrive for the tour on time (and have not cancelled at least 48 hours prior).
Your Conduct
You are fully responsible for your own conduct on the tour and the conduct of any children or pets accompanying you. You may not consume or be under the influence of alcohol or drugs on the tour. Persons acting in a disruptive, disorderly or abusive manner (including use of profanity, hate speech or other discriminatory language) will not be allowed to participate or will be asked to leave the tour and will not be refunded. We accept no responsibility for the conduct of participants on the tours or any distress or inconvenience such may cause to other participants.
Bringing Pets
We generally welcome pets on guided walks, though any indoor venues visited may have restrictions. Dogs must be restrained on a short leash at all times. Please consider other participants and bear in mind how your pets tend to react to strangers and to other animals. Any participants with aggressive dogs will be asked to leave the tour.
Health and Safety
You should be aware of your surroundings, moving vehicles, etc. and only cross roads at designated pedestrian crossing and when vehicles have stopped and/or a green pedestrian light is showing. You should not assume that actions taken by your guide are safe for you to do.
Loss, Injury or Fatality
We accept no liability for any loss, injury or fatality incurred by any participants on the tour. You are fully responsible for your own safety (and that of any children or pets accompanying you) while crossing any roads, avoiding tripping hazards, etc.
We accept no responsibility for any loss, theft or damage caused to your personal property on the tours. You should keep bags, cameras, cash/cards and other personal property with you at all times.
You are fully responsible and we accept no liability for any damage or destruction caused by you (or children or pets accompanying you) to any third-party property during the tour (such as fixtures and fittings, art or other effects of any venue that forms part of the tour).
Photography and Filming
You may take photographs and/or video footage in public areas during the tour for personal use only. You may not publish photographs/footage of the guide or other participants on the tour (including posting on social media) without their permission. If the tour includes any venues or other private property you will need to seek the permission of the owner/operator for photography/filming. You should only photograph/film other participants on the tour with their permission (and children under 16 with the permission of their accompanying guardian).
We may take photographs of the tour for our marketing and publicity purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed/filmed for this purpose you should inform your guide during the tour.
